Mr W Eccles, Professor of applied Physics and Electrical Engineering at the City and Guilds of London Technical College and Vice Chairman of the Commission which planned the Imperial Wireless Chain Stations, gave a demonstration at a the Physical Society gathering at the Imperial College of Science, South Kensington, of a remarkable apparatus devised to test a proposed method of wireless communication in which the electric waves transmitted could produce easily recognisable chords at a suitably equipped receiving station, with vowel sounds as the most easily received.
