The centenary of the founding of Carlsberg with celebrated under the patron edge

The centenary of the founding of Carlsberg with celebrated under the patron edge of the Danish royal family this November. Here is an aerial photograph of the breweries-old Carlsberg founded by Jacob Jacobson, and new Carlsberg, founded by car when he quarrelled with his father-as they are today, covering 64 acres and employing more than 3600 workers. They now belong to the Danish state.

Kingston Harbour, a natural inlet about six miles long and two miles broad, having Port Royal at it's entrance was in Nelson's time as it is ours, an important rendevous and depot for our squadrons in West Indian Waters. Nelson was appointed to command one of the batteries here when D'Estaing threatened Jamaica in 1779; from this port he set out in 1780 on the San Juan expedition, and to it he returned; and hither Napoleon expected him to come in 1805
