Exiled Patriarch of Assyrians in London.
Mar Shimun, the young Patriarch of the Assyrians who has been exiled, is in London. He left his country when the British Government were asked to take him to a place of safety following the outbreak on the Iraq frontier and the alleged massacre of Assyrians. Mar Shimun, who received part of education at St Augustine s College, Canterbury, is the spiritual and temporalhead of a remarkable body of Assyrians, about 25, 000 of whom are in Iraq. He has been allowed to travel on condition that he would not put forward the trouble of his people.

The new Broadway Temple, New York, is being erected under the auspices of Dr Christian F Reisner. The church will have an auditorium with a seating capacity for over 2000 people and its lighted cross will be seen by the 8, 000, 000 people
