The tomb of Rahere, who founded the priory and hospital of St. Bartholomew - the - Great. He was also a courtier to King Henry I. Rahere died in 1143, but the tomb dates from 1405. At the feet of the sleeping Rahere is a crowned angel holding a shield of the coat of arms granted to the Priory by Henry I.
