King Farouk of Egypt attended the ceremony when the Prince of Berar son of the Nizam of Hyderabad, laid a foundation stone of the Nizamis mosque in Mornington Avenue, Kensington. The mosque, which is modelled on the Taj Mahal, will cost hundred thousand pounds. ?60, 000 of the total was contributed by the Nizam Hyderabad.
