The longest formation flight ever undertaken by service unit, five RAF flying boats of number 204 (Gen reconnaissance) Squadron being prepared at Plymouth. They will take off next week and by the time I return in the Spring, they would have flown 25, 000 miles to Australia and back.
The visit is being made in connection with the150th anniversary celebration of Sydney.
