Woman who reformed Spanish prisons in London.
Senorita Victoria Kent, the young Spanish woman who abolished flogging and introduced sweeping reforms in the prisons of Spain, has arrived in London to attend the Jubilee Congress of the Womens Co - operative Guild. She resigned from the post of Director of Prisons in the Spanish Republican Government because she thought she was not strong enough to carry on. Senorita Kent claims Kentish ancestry.
