Preparing £ 300, 000 luxury yacht in Southampton for Kings holiday cruise.
Chartered by the King for his holiday cruise in the Mediterranean, in place of his proposed Riviera visit cancelled owing to the situation in Spain, the £ 300, 000 luxury yacht Nuhlin ( 1, 391 tons) owned by Lord Yule, the richest woman in Britain, is being fitted out and painted at Southampton in readiness for the Royal holiday.
The yacht, known as a vest pocket luxury liner, was built by John Brown at Clydesbank and launched in 1930. She is 300 feet overall.
Lady Yule, millionairess widow of the India merchant, was herself responsible for the decoration of the yacht, which has a super gymnasium, a dozen bathrooms and magnificent staterooms.
The Nahlin is faster than many liners.
