Princess Elizabeth is the toast of the white hunters of East Africa. Armed with
Princess Elizabeth is the toast of the white hunters of East Africa. Armed with her favourite cine-camera, she went hunting " The Four Hooligans", the giant lions which were featured in the Royal Command Film " Where No Vultures Fly". Within 15 minutes of driving into the National Park on the outskirts of the town she found one of the lions lying three feet from his kill under a tree. Her hunting brake cautiously approached to within 20 yards. The Hooligan rose, sauntered a few yards towards her and then turned back. In these few minutes the Princess, hatless and with a kerchief tied round her head, obtained some of the finest close-ups ever taken by a visitor to the preserve. It was the first time Her Royal Highness had ever photographed a lion.
Photo Shows: Princess Elizabeth (front, near side to the lion) and the Duke of Edinburgh, seen at back, photographed in their hunting wagon when they drove through the National Park, in Kenya. The lion and his kill is seen under tree on right.
