Another stage the London County Councils re-housing scheme was reached when Mr Lewis Silkin, MP, Chairman of the Housing and Public Health Committee of the LCC, opened the first portion of the Council 10 acre Sumner Estate in Sumner Road, Camberwell.
Five blocks, containing 217 flats to accommodate 1000 persons, have been completed.
