Lady Sylvia Maitland, only daughter of the Earl and Countess of Lauderdale, was married at St Margarets Church, Westminster, to Lord Carew the Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry. The bride wore a gown of gold brocade and was followed by twelve bridesmaids who wore frocks of soft white material trimmed with gold sashes to match the brides dress.
