Workmen are rushing to complete Pier No 90, which is to berth the Queen Mary, Britains giant liner, when she arrives in New York at the end of her maiden voyage, scheduled to commence on May 27.
The pier, with two others on New York s, North Rivers was constructed with a grant of nearly £ 300, 000 from the Public Works Administration. One of the berths is used by the French giant, Normandie.
