The first play concerning recent figures of British royalty permitted on the English stage, Laurence Housmans " Victoria Regina" is in rehearsal at the Lyric Theatre for production next week. The Lord Chamberlain only recently lifted his ban on plays of this type. Miss Pamela Stanley is taking the role of the young Queen Victoria and Carl Edmond plays the Prince Consort.
