Mr Joseph Arthur Walter Perkins, a 24 year old experimental chemist, left his home in Erith, Kent to ride across Europe and the Sahara by motorcycle to Cape Town. This will be the first time ever if he succeeds. He is equipped with all sorts of equipment, from binoculars, revolver and rifle - to spare cans of oil and petrol and a specially built rear wheel to take the extra weight. His father saw him off.

Aeriel motorbike
Its a post-war 1950 350cc NH Ariel (note correct spelling) overhead valve single. Interesting points are the snorkle added to the exhaust pipe and an intake filter on the top of the fuel tank to enable safe river crossings

10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch.
