Martyrs to the cause ....these men .....and one woman led the 1916 Rebellion . They were not Quite the mould of Bolshevik revolutioinaries. They included poets, scholars, and several of noble birth. The woman Countess Markevicz and two men had their death sentances commuted to hard-labour for life. One of those two men was Eamon De Valera (bottom row) who Escaped to Become his country's elder statesman.This lauditory broadsheet was printed soon after the rising failed.

Very proud schoolgirl at Moor House School, Hurst Green Oxted, Surrey, finds her work admired by Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. The royal visitor called at the school to see progess in the treatment of speech handicapped children. The school was opened in 1947 to give the children special speech training as part of the normal school lessons 26th November 1953
